EAW Trench Shield Safety Gantries are all aluminium gantries for confined space access. They offer a better alternative to a tripod as they allow full trench access. If a worker needs to be removed from the trench, they can be lifted out, pulled to the side and lowered onto safe ground where CPR can be performed or they can be placed on a stretcher.
EAW Trench Shield gantries come in two sizes, with a 2400mm or 3000mm long beam, and can carry up to two people on separate gantry rollers. Unlike a tripod, which only allows vertical movement, the gantry allows both vertical and horizontal movement so it can straddle a trench, excavation, manhole or pit. It will also fit over a trench shield or manhole box, making it a very versatile unit.
Adjustable legs give extra height, and the gantry is lightweight, super strong and easy to assemble and dismantle. The gantry trolley runs on wheels along the gantry beam.

The EAW Trench Shield gantry meets the relevant AS/NZS standards for confined space access and fixed-point fall arrest units.
The gantry can also be used for handling materials and equipment up to 250kg.
